Always

God and Jesus always have been. There is no beginning and there is no end to the spirit of God. Everything that we are, everything that we see, everything that will come into existence is because of God. Jesus entered the story that God set in motion. Jesus always was and is. Jesus just entered the story of humanity to remind us that God is here, right now. Jesus came to give light to a world that seemed to know only darkness. Jesus came to show that life was real and that our life should be light. It is what we were created for.

The Word was first, the Word present to God, God present to the Word. The Word was God, in readiness for God from day one.
Everything was created through him; nothing—not one thing!— came into being without him. What came into existence was Life, and the Life was Light to live by. The Life-Light blazed out of the darkness; the darkness couldn't put it out.
John 1:1-5
All life came into existence, is in existence because of God. Jesus came and showed us how to live life. Life that was light to live by. What is this life? A life of love, forgiveness, kindness, expansion, beauty, abundance, creativity, and peace. This is light - to live a life full of these kinds of characteristics. This kind of life cannot be put out by the darkness. It explodes out of the darkness and has to be noticed. Life always has been. God and Jesus always have been. Light always have been. We have not noticed because we live our lives in such darkness. We live our lives from places of envy, anger, frustration, depression, disappointment because we do not get what we think we need or desire, such places of percieved suffering. Darkness appears to be all around.
However, introduce a little light into a dark room and the light takes over, the darkness is no more. Introduce some light into your life today. Treat someone with kindness. Be thankful for your many blessings. Notice how beautiful life is. See how your life continues to expand into areas that you did not think were possible. Notice how much abundance you have. Love each moment that you are in, find the good in it. Then notice how darkness will not be able to put out the light, the life that you have. God always is.
